Busy Weekend ahead for Neath Rugby Players
The boys in black travel to Plymouth on Friday evening for their match against the Albion on Saturday afternoon and then play in a cricket tournament on Sunday!
The Neath v Plymouth clash has become something of a tradition over the past few pre seasons but this year the Neath boys wont have a chance to enjoy the sights over the bank holiday weekend, instead they are darting back to South Wales in readiness for the Snid Fundraiser at Hopkinstown Cricket Club on Sunday!
The charity event will include a six-a-side cricket tournament which will see Neath Rugby take on Pontypridd RFC, Neath RFC, Beddau RFC, Glyncoch RFC, Bedwas RFC and Hopkinstown.
Neath captain Lee Beach, Matthew Nuthall, Dafydd Lockyer, Gareth James, Lee Evans and Rowland Phillips will make up the All Blacks cricket squad and are expected to be cheered on by the rest of the Neath team.
After the cricket tournament there will be a barbeque and disco, with plenty of fun for the kids in the form of a bouncy castle.
Further entertainment will be provided by live music act "Legacy".
During the course of the day, there will be an auction and a raffle to raise more funds for Snid's family, with some valuable rugby memorabilia having been donated to the event.
