Rowland Phillips Set to Come out of Retirement for Snid Fundrasier

Last weekend Rowland Phillips set himself a challenge of raising £1000 for the Gareth Jones Trust fund by completing the 10K Great Wales Run.
Neath's director of rugby raised the cash and completed the race and now one weekend on is setting himself new goals!

Neath Rugby take on Burry Port tomorrow in a Snid Fundraising match at the Memorial Ground and Mr Phillips is taking his boots.

The former Neath captain last played in the Neath jersey against Narberth last season in a fundraising game for Brian Williams' family.

After scoring a try in last years match Rowland is confident of having another stormer, and is looking forward to showing Neath young guns how its done ahead of the new season.

The fundraising day organised by Gareth Gravell, will give supporters the first opportunity to see the 2008/09 squad in action.
The day will include raffles and auctions, live music and a BBQ with all proceeds going to the Gareth Jones Trust Fund.

Neath coach Rowland Phillips commented:

"We are taking a strong squad to Burry Port for this Champions v Champions Fundraiser in what is set to be a great day at the Memorial Ground.
It will be the perfect opportunity for supporters to see our new look squad in action and it is hoped that we will, like last weekend raise a substantial amount of money for the Gareth Trust Fund"
