Neath recorded their only back-to-back Cup Final wins when they beat Bridgend in the 1989/90 final played in glorious weather in front of another capacity crowd.

Although reduced to 14 men following the sending-off of Andrew Kembury, Neath's "magnificent seven" called the shots and there were tries for Chris Bridges and Martyn Morris. Paul Thorburn kicked a conversion and a penalty goal and Jason Ball dropped a goal.
