Neath made to work hard for their win against Division 1 Cwmllynfell
In the opening 20 both sides were quite evenly matched but it was Neath that opened the scoring with a try from Neath winger Dai Evans after 22 minutes, Matty James’ conversion attempt went wide.  Dai Evans looked to go in for a second try moments later but overcooked the kick .
Cwmllynfell got their first points of the afternoon with a kick from Craig Jones  making the score 5- 3.
Tavis Knoyle made a great break on the 22 which led to a Matty James try, which he duly converted. Making the score Neath 12 Cwmllynfell 3 at half time.
Cwm had the chance to put some points on the board but the penalty kick went wide, in a slow opening 20.
Neath scored their 3rd of the afternoon after 60 minutes through Tavis Knoyle after a blistering run from Liam Powell. Matty James missed with the  conversion Neath 17 Cwmllynfell 3
After putting pressure on the Neath defence for several minutes Cwmlynfell  were rewarded with a try through Paul Rummings, Craig Jones converted.

Neath responded quickly with a great try from Dai Evans,converted by Matty James, Neath 24 Cwmllynfell  10 
In the final minute of regular time Matty James got his second try of the afternoon which he duly converted, 31 – 10                                                                                                                                     However  Cwmllynfell responded when centre Kevin Jones got their 2nd try of the afternoon making it 31-17 but replacement Matthew Nuthall crossed for Neath’s last of the afternoon.
