Corus 14 - Neath 58

Margam, Tue 4th Nov 08 KO: 19:15

CORUS 14 points NEATH 57 points
Winger David Evans crossed for five tries as Neath ran convincing winners of this special centenary fixture at Margam.

After an even opening 20 minutes when the Steel side took the lead with a try by ex-Aberavon flanker Chris Kinsey that fly-half Scott Robinson goaled, the Welsh All Blacks cut loose to register 9 tries in all with outside-half Matty James scoring one and converting six.

The remaining three tries came from full back Gavin Jones on debut, prop Craig Mitchell who was loitering on the wing and centre Dafydd Lockyer.

Steel were rewarded for their pluck y effort with a second converted try on the final whistle and coach Rowland Phillips reflected on a "very useful exercise that produced full-on, much needed match practice."
