Aberavon opened the scoring with a penalty from James Garlard after just three minutes, they added to their tally minutes later with a try from Aberavon centre Ashley Beck, which Garland converted giving the visitors a 10 point advantage early on.
The Blacks, cut the deficit with a Matty James penalty, followed by another, to make it 10-6.

Richard Morris Aberavon's number 8 was given yellow card which gave Neath opportunity to get some points on the board. Kevin James came close to scoring but failed to pass the ball to anyone inpaarticular. However after con tenuous pressure from the home side, James managed to cross, for his 50th try since the Premiership Tournament came into being, Matty James was unlucky to miss with the conversion, and Neath went into the lead for the first time in the game.

The home side continued to stretch the Aberavon defence but the half finished Neath 11 Aberavon 10.
Neath continued to dominate with Matty James making a splendid break and scoring a fine individual try, he failed to convert but extended the home sides lead by 6 points.

Neath continued to stamp their authority on the game, holding onto possession and extended their lead by a further 3 points thanks to Matty James.
The all blacks dug deep to ground out a a hard fought win, Final score 19-10.
