This year Jeremy John's SECURE GUARD has again generously sponsored the ball boys and the kit bears his logo, he has decided to sponsor the club this year as he is a lifelong Neath Rugby supporter and feels this is his way of giving something back to the club. The ball boys are moving adverts and are dotted around the Gnoll on a matchday, and are therefore a perfect way for any business to advertise.
We currently have 9 boys, varying in age from 8 to 16. This year we have taken on three young ball boys in Ben James, Ellis Evans & Justin Williams. The boys turn up every for home game come rain or shine to support Neath on and off the field. They are stationed ground, and make sure that the teams get a clean dry ball to use, and they don't have to wait for it to be fetched from wherever it has been kicked to.
Geraint Bowden goes to all of Neath's games, home and away, and carries the kicking tee on for whoever has the kicking duties. He has carried the tee on for such players as Gavin Henson, Matthew Jones, and James Hook. His proudest moment was at last year's cup final, being allowed to do duty at the Millennium Stadium.
The young lads are keen as mustard, and willing to give up their time to represent Neath, and they regard it as a privilege to be a Neath Ballboy. The boys are happy because they get to see all the games and are proud to wear the kit provided.
These youngsters are another small reason why Neath are the envy of all the clubs in the league, leading the way in the semi professional era, both on and off the field .
